Sunday Debauchery at La Colombe

Sunday at La Colombe (audio file)

Monsoir Mark Byrne and I closed the cafe on this slow, dreadful day of rain in the city. When cute customers enter the cafe it seems that our boyish anticts go into high gear.

Cadillac Cruise

1991 Cadillac d’Elegance Cruise (audio file)

Here is my good friend David H. and I on thanksgiving day at the Crespo’s. I had one request for Rick and that was to take out the 1991 Cadillac d’Elegance for a cruise on the country roads. The food was amazing and the family time was unbeatable. Upon returning from the cruise, David and I performed a little song and dance.

Taj Restsurant

Taj Restaurant Lower Eastside, NYC (audio file)

I had dinner last night with a friend at the Taj Restaurant in on 6th Street between 2nd and 1st ave. The food was mediocre but we had a front row seat for the entertainment. There were two gentleman sitting on an area located on the front of the window facing 6th Street. They were playing the drums and a violin of some sort. It was very hypnotic music that would cause passer-byers to stop and gawk.

The Sherree Chamberlain Interview

Singer/Songwriter Sherree Chamberlain Airport Interview (audio file)

I was standing in line of the loading dock of Southwest Airlines in the Oklahoma Ciy airport and there was this young lady in front of me. She was snaping a photo of a t-shirt that read “free beer taste better”. She immediately turned around and shooshed me as if I were going to say something, which I did. Ya know that’s right, free things always seem to taste better. She then somehow recognized me and asked if I knew a mutual friend from our university, and I did. We hit off and come to find out Sherree Chamberlain is a singer/songwriter who is embarking into NYC for her first time. While Sherre is in the city she will not only be playing tourist, she will also be expressing her musical talent as well. She will play in a pick up band in the infoumous Brooklyn music scene, specifically Springstein covers.

She played me a little snippet of her own album, which is self released, called A Wasp In My Room. Very lovely voice with a hint a raspiness that is quite calming. The vocals were well mixed with a cello and some drums. She is listed on iTunes so check out this young Oklahoma talent that will be cruising the streets of the big apple till December 8th.
