men’s fashion inspiration from paris

If playing dress-up till 5:00 in the morning is not getting you the results that you fancy in your wardrobe, then here are some great looks straight out of Paris that just might spark some creative juices and inspire your silhouette. Yes I know, skinny pants are not for everyone, but if you are cognizant of fashion and the design elements that assist as the backbone to any well structured outfit, then you must look beyond the silhouette. Let’s start with color. High contrast is achieved by complementary colors, which just so happen to be opposites on the color wheel. When these colors are placed next to each other they appear to vibrate or bounce back and forth. There are lots of different color “harmonies”. Don’t be afraid to try something new. If you have taken a look at the current trends right now, you might have noticed the use of color. It’s everywhere! But used properly you can achieve a look that will get people talking.
Line is another element of design that can trick the eye and inflict different emotions. Line manipulates space by dividing, enclosing, organizing, pushing and pulling, separating, and contouring it. Vertical lines can be slimming on just about any body type. They draw the eye up and down, creating a slimming effect. Horizontal lines draw the eye out, adding extra girth visually. These are just a few design elements to consider the next time you feel the urge to play. Remember, clothes send signals. They are a nonverbal representation of who we are and how we are perceived.
